• There are a lot of things to consider when choosing a tutor or coach to help your child or teen. It’s totally fine to be unsure of exactly what they need. That’s what I’m here for! During the initial consultation, I can help you gain clarity and insight so that you can decide what is right for your family.

If later down the road you notice that things are starting to shift, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I am here to support you throughout your child or teen’s learning journey.

  • Every student is different, and this will depend on your goals and the student’s own pace of learning. This is why we offer one-on-on sessions tailored to each student! The initial consultation is an opportunity for us to hone in on realistic goals.

As we get to know your child or teen, we will start to collect more information and gain a deeper understanding of their learning needs, continually adapting and refining our individualized approach.

Some families work with us for a few months, some for several years. Typically what you will see is increased confidence, initiative, and love of learning.

  • Absolutely! We love working with all kinds of students, including those who have struggled to “fit into” the school system. Neuro-divergent learners are welcome here and we really take the time to understand and adapt our approach to each student using evidence-based strategies. We have experience supporting learners who have diagnosed and undiagnosed learning disabilities, such as ADHD, autism, and specific learning disorders (e.g., dyslexia), as well as gifted and twice-exceptional students. French Immersion students are also welcome as we have a native French tutor on staff.

  • Professional judgment and intuition :) Before obtaining my M.Ed. in Counselling Psychology, I used to work as an elementary Montessori classroom teacher and K-12 professional tutor of Math, English, and Science. I have an eye for quality instruction, which allows me to select only the best tutors who are experts in their subject matter as well as can connect well with children and teens.

We have a comprehensive screening and hiring process including background checks, interviews, and mock lessons. Tutors consult with me on an ongoing basis to ensure that the quality of service we deliver is of the highest standard.

  • Our minimum commitment for Traditional Tutoring and Montessori-OG Tutoring is 4 sessions. It takes time to see results and we want to allow both the tutor and student time to adjust to each other and establish mutual rapport. With that being said, sometimes it is just not a match, in which case we will happily find you a suitable replacement as soon as possible at no extra cost. We have a Satisfaction Guarantee, which means that we encourage you to let us know if you are not happy with our service so that we can make it right.

Therapeutic Tutoring and Academic Coaching are offered on a single-session basis or in monthly packages for a discounted rate.

  • All of our services are eligible for funding through the Autism Funding Unit and Jordan’s Principle.

Therapeutic Tutoring and Academic Coaching may be eligible for insurance coverage under your extended health benefits. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. Please check with your insurance provider about eligibility.
